1. Does my child need to be "talented" or "love art" to enroll in a KidzArt® class or camp?
NO! KidzArt® classes and camps are open to all children, ages 6-12, of all skill levels. We also have Preschool classes for children 3 1/2 to 5 years of age. The philosophy of KidzArt® is that all children can learn to express themselves visually and our curriculum allows anyone to acquire basic drawing skills and techniques.  Beginners will learn how easy it is to draw and advanced students will continue to explore their creativity in a supportive, non-competitive environment.

2. How long are classes?
Classes are usually 1 hour in length for school age children (ages 6 to 12) and for our adult and senior programs. Pre-school programs (ages 3 1/2 to 5) are 45 minutes in length. Holiday workshops and camps are 2 to 3 hours in length.  Sessions are generally scheduled in 4, 8 and 12 week blocks.

3. Will you accept age 5 or Kindergarten students in regular classes or camps?
Yes, provided they can sit and focus for 1-2 hours at a time.

4. Are discounts available for pre-payment of multiple sessions or family enrollments?
Yes. Please see the class registration form or contact us for more information.

5. Who will teach KidzArt® and what is the teacher/student ratio?         Back to Top
All classes and camps will be taught by KidzArt® Certified Instructors with experience teaching the KidzArt® curriculum in local schools and community centers.
The maximum teacher/student ratios will be:
     - 10:1for school age classes
.    - 6:1for preschool/kindergarten classes
     - 10:1for camps and workshops

Art assistants will work with us as well for camp sessions and workshops as required.

6. What drawing mediums are used?
We use artist-quality materials. Prismacolor markers, chalk and oil pastels and watercolor pencils are used most frequently. Charcoal, art stix and watercolor are also used. Drawings are completed on acid-free, archival-quality paper.

7. What is an art project?
Art projects are typically 3-D artwork and may include: scratch art, sand art, marbleizing, collages, Sculpey clay and more …….

8. Do drawing and art projects change from session to session?                  Back to Top
Yes, drawing and art projects change regularly. It's highly unlikely that a student would ever draw the same project twice. Some students have taken classes for years and drawings are always fresh and new.

9. Are materials included in the price?
All materials required to complete drawings and projects are included in the cost.

10. What should my child bring to KidzArt® classes, camps or workshops?
For classes your child should dress in normal school day clothing. For camps, your child should be dressed comfortably in play clothing. Send along a sweatshirt or jacket if weather requires. We will provide all the necessary art materials so they just need to bring their imaginations!

11. What if my child gets hungry during the camp session?
We will provide a nutritious snack during the mid-morning break. If your child needs extra food, please send it along in a bag marked with his or her name.

12. Are refunds available for missed classes or camp sessions?
No.

13. Do you have a cancellation policy?                              Back to Top
A 100% refund is available for classes and camps if the registration is cancelled 30 days prior to the beginning of the first session the child is enrolled. No refunds are issued after that time.

14. Do you have MasterCard and Visa payment capability?
Not at this time but will have capabilities in the future.

15. Where do I mail the completed registration form and payment?
Please note the information specific to your class session on the registration forms.  Otherwise, mail your completed registration form and payment to:
